Today on Better Connecticut, Joy and I decided to make a milk shake with a slice of fresh blueberry pie, 2 cups of vanilla ice cream and 3/4 cup of milk. We threw the whole thing in a blender and whirled it all to a yummy deliciousness! It was so thick, rich and surprisingly creamy and the tiny bits of crust floating around was an unexpected delightful crunch! This was definitely a winner.

Hi everyone! I thought all of the shakes had a great texture and flavor. As I was leaving the show, some of the women, who attended the show, asked many questions about the shakes and the pies. I told them the pie could be store bought or even if you had an unexpected guest arrive and only had one piece of pie left, WHIP IT UP! NOW YOU HAVE A GREAT DESSERT AND MORE OF IT! Be creative, change the serving piece to a funky glass or martini glass. It will get their attention. I know Judy would love to show the Food Network this recipe!!!
Great take on the blueberry milkshake & great segment with Scot and Kara on CBS!
Caught the segment on BetterCT- I have to dig out my blender again!

Jo-Z… The chocolate pie shake was delicious. It was a homemade truflle pie, creamy, almost silky in texture. I used a good quality chocolate. When you come to CT again we will have pie shakes!!
